A utilities company had previous experience with ISG in 2017, when we performed a cloud readiness assessment. When budget money became available, they invited ISG back to assist with the re-negotiation of the current end-user computing (EUC) contract with DXC.

The company expected services to be upgraded to an “office-of-the-future” without a corresponding increase in service pricing.

ISG leveraged our experience in negotiating EUC arrangements globally to assess the extent to which the DXC offering included contemporary EUC features. In addition, ISG facilitated a more consumption-based pricing model so that the company only pays for those services it requires; by device or by user.

The new contract embraces the transition of the company’s approach to desktop management from a traditional Microsoft-based toolset to a more versatile multiple endpoint management toolset provided by VMware.

Future Made Possible

  • The company received a new contract with resource units based on quantity of units consumed. Its new pricing includes both legacy devices as well as transformed devices to address the process of moving from current to future state.
  • Its solution is scalable with pricing for each end user, including up to five different managed devices.
  • It enabled bring your own device (BYOD); thus, managed mobile devices are no longer limited to Microsoft products.
  • It plans to establish two walk-in centers in Sydney and Newcastle to provide hands-on support to end users.
