Our engagement with a leading Hospitality and Entertainment company was initiated to bolster the collaboration between the business and technology teams. As strategic advisors, our goal was to articulate a project plan that pinpointed and harnessed business value from crucial data needs identified within key business domains. This involved meticulous efforts in defining project scopes, conducting comprehensive requirements gathering directly from the business units, and ensuring seamless handover to the technology data team.

Our role extended beyond planning, as we provided ongoing support through risk mitigation strategies, managing resources and capacity, assisting in solution development, and facilitating effective communication of requirements.

A critical moment in phase 1 emerged when we identified a significant issue—a complex re-work requirement that the newly developed pipeline could not address within the current scope. Recognizing the importance of this data source for reporting and analytics across multiple teams, we took decisive action. By calling out this challenge, we formulated a new project plan, established a dedicated task force, and swiftly moved to execute this plan. This proactive approach allowed us to tackle the issue head-on, ensuring that the critical data source received the attention it needed from key stakeholders and was resolved outside of the newly developed data pipeline.

Our ability to adapt the plan on the fly and manage two projects in tandem demonstrated our team's flexibility and commitment, ensuring continued progress without compromising the momentum or the quality of either project.
