Christian Decker

What he does at ISG

Christian and his team bridge the gap between business and IT strategy for automotive, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and high-tech clients. He draws on his vast experience navigating large sourcing deals, designing target operating models, offering key industry insights, and maximizing the agility of digital infrastructures to guide clients through every step of a project, from defining the scope and strategy to benchmarking and implementation.

Past achievements for clients

Christian knows that a project's success comes from not just the technology it uses, but also the people involved. By ensuring that projects start out with an organizational infrastructure and strong team united around a common goal, he has helped clients successfully take on some of their most ambitious projects, including:
  • Restructuring the autonomous driving development initiatives of several large OEMs by expanding their capabilities to support a product-oriented, outcome-based model; closing and contracting for their required ecosystems; and building a cohesive team.
  • Convincing an industrial global enterprise to shift their IoT sales strategy from targeting enterprise clients to channel business. Now, he is working with that client to redesign their go-to-market strategy, while also finding them the right target operating model, determining the scope of their sourcing needs, and establishing smart contracts with the right providers.
  • Steering the IT outsourcing and infrastructure services transition for a large, public bank based in Germany, ultimately taking over the interim management
